Well, the
excitement begins in the Month of May when a second film about Narnia is to be released. The new film will be called, "Prince Caspian" and it promises to be as terrific as the first film was.
C.S. Lewis always said that he never really intended for his books to be a Christian metaphor but the lion just sort of 'showed up' in the text as he went along and Aslan changed the atmosphere of the whole adventure. Prince Caspian is a story about a great journey to Aslan's country in search of seven nobleman from Narnia who have been lost at sea for years. The best part of the story, without giving too much away, is that the same characters from the first story are back and they are going on a journey which is sure to call forth new depths of courage from them as they learn to trust Aslan to lead them.
So, join me on Sundays during May as we go back to Narnia, and maybe this time we can find that Lion. Let me know if you know where one is! Love, Pastor Scott
Church members will be getting together to see “Prince Caspian” on two nights—Friday, May 16th at the Festus 8 Theatre, 6:45 pm. & Wed., May 21st, 7:00 pm at Ronnie’s Cinema. (Times listed are movie start times.) Call the church office for more information. |
